I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time unified boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
